take top honors at Cedar Lake Feb. 21st with 14.52lbs

     Well, here comes the final tournament of the winter division at Cedar Lake. It was a nice day on the lake but fishing was tough for some, including myself. But some diligent anglers showed even a tough bite can be conquered.

     The 1st Place team of Richard Armstrong & Steven Armstrong of Cape Girardeau & Scott City, MO were one of the only two teams finding 4 unders to complete their limit bringing 14.52lbs to the scales. The team also landed the Big Bass of the tournament, a 6.23lber, along with another 5.63lber as an additional kicker. Richard & Steven reported catching thier fish on a jerkbaits, earning the team a 1st Place check. Congratulations Guys!

     The 2nd Place team of Allen Crowell & Pete Pedigo of Carbondale & Murphysboro, IL were the only other team to find their unders and put together a limit, putting 8.41lbs across the scales, but just couldn't find the big kicker fish to push them over the edge. Scott & Larry fished mostly jerk baits earning the 2nd Place prize money. Congratulations Guys!

     The most interesting event of the day was the race for Divisional Points Champions. Leading the points at the start of the day was the team of Jack Doan & Steve Powers with 472. In 2nd Place was Allen Crowell & Pete Pedigo with 468. Jon Rees & Bruce McCaleb followed with 467. At the close of the end of the tournament we ended with a tie at 473 points between Doan & Powers and Crowell & Pedigo that had to be broke by the teams Big Bass. Luckily for Crowell & Pedigo their 5.37lb Big Bass held its weight through the season to break the tie putting Crowell & Pedigo on top of the points earning certificates of achievement, trophies, B&R Outlaw Rods and 4 free entries into next years season. Congratulations Guys!

     The tournament Big Bass went to the team of Doug Bates & Darrell Calhoun of Carbondale, IL netting a nice 6.31lber and trading it in for Big Bass cash. Congratulations Guys!
