take top honors at Wappapello Lake
July 10th with 18.65lbs

     July 10th arrived and the day broke at 5:30am with clear skies and just a hint of a possible breeze. As the day proceeded the heat rose past the predicted high eighties into the nineties which made it a very warm day on the water for both fish and the anglers. Of the 28 boats, -- limits arrived at the scales with a total weight of --.

     I would like to commend a couple teams who contacted me and asked to end their tournament early to bring their fish in and weighed early so that the fish wouldn't parish. One team even spent an additional 30 minutes with a weak fish making sure it survived. Thanks you everyone for taking care of your fish!

     The team of Steve Seiter & Steve Hardin of Wappapello & Dexter, MO brought the largest stringer to the scales weighing in at 18.65lbs which included the 6.16lb Kicker Tournament Big Bass. Seiter & Hardin reported finding their fish shallow in the back of creeks and caught them on topwater and rattletraps. Their 1st Place finish along with 1st Place Big Bass earned them $1254 along with 1st Place points moving them up to 3rd in the standings. Congratulations guys.

     2nd Place & the 2nd Place Big Bass went to the team of Terry Holmes & Terry Young of Wappapello & Jackson, MO coming to the scales with 15.14lbs which included a kicker of 5.79lbs bringing their tournament earnings up to $696. Holmes & Young were one of the teams weighing their fish early to keep them from dieing. Additionally the team spent 30 minutes making sure their Big Bass swam off alive. I appreciate your efforts gentlemen. Congratulations guys.

     3rd Place went to the team of Ron Niswonger & Dan Niswonger of Cape Girardeau & Poplar Bluff, MO for a limit of 14.08lbs earning them $280. 4th Place & $160 went to the team of Curtis Black & Mike Allison for their 11.90lb limit. Congratulations All!
